Back for a bit? [17 Mar 2008|04:58pm] [ mood | content ] [ music | A Thousand Miles - Vanessa Carlton ] Well holy freakin shit Batman. I haven't posted on here in like a year? Well...pretty much everything is different. For instance, my last post referred to going to see Justin graduate from Basic Training in Chicago. That went fine, I guess, but we're no longer together. As of about 5 months ago. I'm living in San Diego, California. I moved here 7 months ago. It's pretty amazing. I love it here, and am glad I made the decision to move. I moved out here with one of my best friends, Sara. She and I lived together for awhile but back around November she met this guy...and once he started staying around, I started spending time elsewhere. So I currently live with some new friends that I've made since I moved here. They're names are Kyle and Elise and they have 3 kids. They let me live here for free, and feed me and all that, so I think I owe them at least a little. So I help take care of the kids, and clean up around the house. They appreciate it, and it makes me feel like I'm not being a moocher. In the mornings, I go to school. I'm taking 3 classes at Grossmont College. Eventually I'll transfer, but for right now, the cheap courses they offer suit me just fine. My car is fucked up and as soon as I can, in order to actually save money, I think I'm gonna donate it to a charity or something. Because it won't pass emissions and I can't afford to fix it...so I figure just not having it will be a lot easier. Right now I'm on Spring Break and enjoying that. I don't really know that I have anything else to talk about...so I'll leave it at this. I don't know that I'll really keep up with this, but I suppose I'll try. tell a white lie?

I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself. Right now, I feel like I could puke. I've got, like...a stampede of mutated butterflies in my stomach...But it happens a lot before I go somewhere I've been looking forward to going, so I'm not surprised. I'll be seeing him in a little more than 24 hours! After 9 weeks. Nine long ass weeks. I'm so ready. I've missed him like crazy. Anyway, I'll be back on Monday afternoon. I suppose this is mostly for Poofy's benefit, because I was on here just last night, for the first time in 2 months, and I had a comment from him. He seems to be the only one that noticed I disappeared. Anyways. I didn't die, I've just been really busy. School started a month ago, and that's been taking up time, along with work. To be quite honest, I almost forgot that LJ existed. Things are going well, though. School is good, despite being time consuming. It helps a bit that I'm a senior. It's reassuring to know that this is my last year. Work is fun. Today was the first day I got to sleep past 7 AM in at least a month. It was amazing. My boyfriend is graduating from Boot Camp this coming Friday, so I'm going to Chicago on Thursday, and coming back Monday. That should be fun. I'm looking forward to seeing him. It's been 54 days since I've seen him, about about a month since I've heard his voice. If it wasn't for the letters I get once a week, I'd probably have gone insane by now. My best friend's boyfriend has been diagnosed with epilepsy recently, and he had a seizure last night. She and I left the football game last night to go to the hospital and see him. Hello all [22 Jun 2006|10:50pm] [ mood | content ] [ music | Some Kinda Miracle - Kelly Clarkson ] I'm not dead. I returned safely from Virginia. Had lots of good times, and some not-so-good times, but the good certainly outweighed the bad. Saw much missed friends, and that always makes me happy. I came back with some new clothes, good memories, and an upper respiratory infection. Awesome. But I went to the doctor yesterday and got medicine. I'm feeling a bit better. Hung out with Justin this morning. Went home. Helped with dinner, ate, then went and picked up Sara, and we went to Starbucks. Tried to get a job. Failed, lol. Went back to her house and decided to go for a walk. We got honked at about 10 times. And twice we got beeped at two times the by the same guys, lol. The guys in one of the cars that passed us twice asked if we wanted a ride, lol. So, I returned from the walk with a slightly higher ego, and a huge-ass blister from my flip flops. Hiking in flip flops is one of the stupidest things a person can do. So I put sneakers in my car for the next time Sara wants to walk somewhere. Spending the night at her house. She's drawing, and I'm chillin in front of the computer, obviously. Waiting for Justin to get home from work. Just finished eating some lima beans and green beans. It was different than I expected, but not bad at all. - My uncle from Texas was here yesterday. - I'm quitting my job. Two weeks notice is going in tomorrow. - Ally's wedding is June 24. - There's only 4 weeks left of school. - I get to see my cousin Amy graduate. - My uncle bought a motorcycle for me to learn how to ride. - A motorcycle that gets about 40 miles per gallon, most likely. - Gas prices are going down. - I'll be saving money. - I filled out job applications at 5 clinics today. Bad - Justin leaves August 1st for Basic Training. - I wish my mom could have been a part of my birthday. - I wouldn't even know these people that have made my life so amazing if I hadn't moved here. - I have to tell my aunt about the ticket I got...oh, about a month ago. - I only have 4 weeks to get my 75 in math up to an 80. - I leave for Texas for Amy's graduation on Saturday May 27 at 9:30 AM. That's right about the time Justin's graduation ceremony will be starting. So I won't get to see him walk. I'm pissed and horribly disappointed, all at the same time. - I know/will at some point meet the rest of his family. He will never have the pleasure of meeting my mom. That one hurts the most. Yes, I love the family that I have, but they aren't the ones that made me into the person I am today. A few days late [25 Apr 2006|02:20pm] [ mood | nostalgic ] [ music | Gettin Jiggy With It - Will Smith ] I figured since my 17th birthday was the most amazing birthday I've had, I should probably save it somewhere. Here sounds good. So, on Thursday, April 20, (my actual birthday) I got 3 text messages before I even woke up wishing me a happy birthday. When I walked into the library at school, all my friends were standing there, and they sang Happy Birthday to me. There were flowers, chocolates, a balloon, and cards, and, maybe best of all, Lindsey was wearing a t-shirt that said Happy Birthday Ana. I swear, I almost cried. It was so awesome. I also got a birthday shout out when they did the morning announcements. I had people wishing me happy birthday all day. Every time they did, it sent me smiling all over again. At lunch, Justin covered my eyes and led me to the back of the library, where we had pizza, and cake. I almost cried all over again! Justin smeared icing in my hair after I wiped some on his face, and it was quite funny. When I walked out to my car, Candice was waiting. She and Stacy had written Happy Birthday and I love you's on my car in shaving cream. She took me out to eat at Applebees. I love that girl. That night, Justin took me to the movies, and we saw "The Hills Have Eyes." I was so incredibly happy when I went to bed that night. Then, on Friday, I got some belated birthday wishes. After school, Justin took me to Olive Garden for dinner. I got a mini cake and an embarrassing song. Then we went to see Silent Hill. When that was over, we went to Lindsey's to pick her up, since she was supposed to be spending the night at my house, along with Candice and Brittany. She answered the door and said she had to get her sleeping bag, which was in the basement, so I followed her downstairs....and got sprayed with about 6 cans worth of silly string. Everyone that I would have wanted to be there was, and it was amazing. So for the third time in 2 days, I thought I was gonna cry all over again. There was food and music and dancing, and it was all amazing. We had the best time. The only non-cool thing that happened was that I got home late with the girls, and my aunt had gotten a cake and candles and everything for that night. Because I was planning on being home before 11. I felt so horrible that she planned that, and then I wasn't even home before she went to bed. It slipped to the back of my mind since Lindsey, Candice, Brittany, Justin (for a little while), and I were having so much fun. But even now, I still feel bad. Despite that minor detail, however, this blew my 16th birthday out of the water. Considering I didn't do anything for my sweet sixteen except go out to eat with my family, it wasn't hard, but, ya know. It was amazing, and I am so blessed to have the friends that I do. Lately [27 Mar 2006|03:10pm] [ mood | blissful ] [ music | One Sweet Day - Boyz II Men & Mariah Carey ] Friday, March 10 So, I had an amazing Friday with mah girls. And Justin and Haki. We went prom dress shopping. I found a dress. And...I'm wearing it now, because I'm a dork, mostly. But it's ok. Cause it makes me feel beautiful.Which I guess makes it a pretty awesome dress. Had Chili's for dinner. Left Brittany's phone number for the waiter that was flirting with her. haha. Then we drove across the street to Petsmart, where I introduced everyone to the girls at work. I also bought a lightbulb for my turtle. Then we stood around in the parking lot with music...kinda dancing, and standing around talking. It was tons of fun, honestly. Eventually, I took Lindsey, Sara, and Justin home, and I got home super late, and didn't even get in trouble. And then I put on my dress. Again. I really do like it. hehe. Sunday, March 19 So the past few days, and even weeks, have been pretty much amazing. Everyday is a good day. The days have been good in general, but spending time with Justin makes even a bad day seem better. Maybe I'm a million times too fast again, but I think I love him. I really do. I love being around him. Even if we're just sitting there, enjoying the weather, or watching a movie, being close to him makes my heart race, no matter what. And..I just wish time would slow down when I'm with him. Friday was awesome. After school, we went to Atlanta to meet up with some friends of mine from out of town at the aquarium. We tried to get in, but we would have to get tickets for the next tour, and by then, they would have been done. So we went across the street to Centennial Park and waited for them. We ran around and took pictures and played in the water, lol. After that, we met up with them and went out to eat. After that, we picked up Haki and met everyone at Chili's. That was fun, as usual. Lost my phone, momentarily, but then I found it, so that was good. After that, I had to get people home, and then get myself home. Woke up yesterday about 8:40. Got online for a little while. Did some homework. Cleaned up around the house a little. Took a shower. Went to Kroger. Then I went to pick up Justin. We went to Bells Ferry Park, right by his house, and chilled there for a couple hours. That was fun. Seriously. Just sitting there, running across the rocks and trying not to fall in was the best time ever. Went to eat with the same people from yesterday. Then we went to see the movie Failure to Launch. That was a very good movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it, even if we were in the very front row. Parted ways after that. We met Candice at the Avenues and got ice cream. She had to leave about 10, so I took Justin home, and then I came home, and was dead tired, so I practically fell into bed. Saturday, March 25 So, tonight is the night of my very first ticket. I didn't even get pulled for speeding. There was a fucking safety check in the middle of the road on my way home, and I had to stop because it was after curfew. I got a fucking ticket because I had to take my friends home. But really, it's my fault. If I would have taken Lindsey home first, I would have been going a different way to get home, and I bet I wouldn't have had to stop. I'm kinda pissed, but there's not really anything I can do about it. I'm just glad the officer let me off easy. I talked to two officers. One of them asked me where I was going. I told him I was going home. He asked where I lived (even though he had my license, with my address) and I told him it was about a mile down the road. He pointed out that I had a class D license (thank you, Dr. Obvious) and told me to sit tight. So, he asked me what I'd been doing tonight. I told him I went to a school play and then went out to eat with some friends of mine. He told me to pull into the parking lot of the school. The officer that talked to me then asked me how much I'd had to drink tonight. I told him I hadn't had anything. He asked if I was sure. I replied with, yes sir. He noted that I had a class D license, and that's why I was detained. And he asked where I lived. I told him about a mile down the road. He was like, just a mile? Well, I'm supposed to have your car towed and make you get a ride, but since it's just a mile, I'll let you go. So he went off to write my ticket, and he let me go. He will never know how much I appreciate that. Ever. It would have been so much worse to have to get my car towed. I can cover a ticket, but I don't think I have enough to pay for a tow. So instead of being 5 minutes late, I was 25 minutes late, but at least everyone was asleep. So, besides that lovely detail, the rest of my night was amazing. I picked up Sara and Lindsey from school and we went to the Square. Had food. Came back, picked up Justin, and we went to DSW, where I found a pair of shoes, and we took pictures of us in hats and sunglasses. Way hot. Brittany met up with us, and we left to go see Bye Bye Birdie at the middle school. Stopped at the store to pick up some flowers for John. The play was awesome. Really, I loved it. I was so proud of John. After that, we all went to the Marietta Diner for dinner, and then I took everyone home. And what do I get for all that? A ticket. Oh well. Such is life. Sunday, March 26 Tonight was magical. Went to work. That wasn't so magical, but ya know. I got off a few minutes early. Stopped by to see a friend for a minute, and then I went home. I frantically changed, and my aunt curled my hair. It looks/looked so pretty. I leave and get to the school about 8:45. Stand around outside the seminar room for a minute, because I don't know where Justin is. Then he finds me. So we stand around for a bit, then go sit down. Munch on brownies and pretzels. Saw Simone, who shrieked when she saw me. She looked so pretty! (loved your dress girl!) We slow dance...twice. And then we bail. We go to IHOP, and I felt like such a dork, in my dress, all looking nice and everything. But it's cool. Take Justin home after we eat, and then I come home. And now here I am. Jared mostly complimented me. He was like "nice..." and then he motioned at my dress, lol. I felt so beautiful tonight. And I didn't even do much. I mean, I just changed, after being at work all day.
